A QUICK START

One board. Everything fits.

  1. Tap a domino to rotate it. Each tap turns it a quarter turn clockwise. Each half fills one cell. A blank is zero.
  2. Drag it onto the board. You can also tap a cell for its first half. Keep tapping the domino, use Rotate, or press R to turn it again.
  3. Follow each region’s rule. Dominoes can cross region borders. Every domino must be placed and every region satisfied.

Tap a placed domino to select it, then rotate, move, or return it to the tray. Use Undo freely. There is no timer limit or penalty for experimenting.

Hints highlight a region, explain candidate eliminations, reveal a move, then place it. Revealing the full solution ends the board as practice.

Keyboard: Tab between controls, arrows between cells, Enter or Space to select/place, R to rotate, Escape to deselect.

Inside this challenge

Start with region B (2 cells): all cells must have the same value. Check how the other half of each domino fits neighboring regions C, D, E.

How this review works

Matching copies of a domino are interchangeable. Different placements or values count as different solutions.

Easy uses direct deductions. Medium includes one check of forced consequences. Hard requires several such checks or a deeper search. These are reasoning estimates; your experience may differ.

This medium board has 16 cells, 8 dominoes and 6 connected regions. Fill every cell and make all region conditions true at the same time.

Region A contains 3 cells; Region B contains 2 cells; Region C contains 3 cells; Region D contains 2 cells; Region E contains 3 cells; Region F contains 3 cells. Start with the smallest or most restricted region, then check how a domino’s second half affects its neighbor.

The archive contains original PipsPlay boards starting September 1, 2026. It does not reproduce NYT puzzles. This archive board is practice and does not change your daily streak.
